Silver it is!
Mainly because that's all the left but I'll be happy with it either way.
Now it will take about a week to get in and I have to get teh wifes little cycle down to the dealer, hopefully sometime this week.

Now I figure I may actually buy some protective gear as the plan is to get a lot more saddle time in while using for the sales trips.
But I don't know sh!t about helmets or leathers, etc. I've never used a helmet before but I wouldn't mind if it cuts down on wind burn and noise, etc.

I asked on one site about protective leather pants when doing a distance ride but I seriously doubt anything will fit.
Heck I can barely find jeans or dress pants to fit without havingthem tailored.

I would at least get a good helmet gloves and jacket possibly even boots. I usually ride in jeans though and that is good protection from the elements unless you go down. I have a joe rocket textile jacket that i really like and a fulmer helmet. Make sure you don't get a lose fitting jacket and sip the damn thing up you need it to stay in place to do it's job. I recommend getting a helmet that is snell and dot approved which one and model is personal preference, go to a big store and try a lot of things on. I don't have gloves yet but i have only logged a few hundred miles and will be buying them very very soon. The reason i say you might wanna buy some boots is, muscle and skin can grow back but you grind your ankle bone down to nothing because you had a pair of tennis shoes on you a screwed my friend. They have nice looking boots made for riding which help in shifting and they also have lots of ankle support to protect your ankles. You are getting a very fast bike there be careful and don't think just because it's not in the super sport class it won't rip.

I have gloves and a decent pair of boots that I wear but only when riding some distance.
Though I do need to upgrade. I've never been a helmet kind of guy and don't think they honestly do much if you hit it - I know two good friends who both wore helmets one if paralyzed from the chest down due to borken neck and one is dead due to a broken neck - I've had two pretty major accidents and the worst my head got was a decent bump and some road rash.
Anyway - I do plan to get one if nothing else to cut down on wind burn and noise, etc.

The leathers (if I can find any to fit) would be simply because after an hour or two a freeway speeds even jeans get irritable from wind whip.

And this bike will definitely have a ton of freeway mileage.
I think I'll check some boots out too. After two accidents I'm betting the next one should kill me but the last thing I want to do is get mangled and still be breathing.
So if it's a matter of a bit of safety apparel to prvent the mangling then I all for it.

That's pretty much where I'm at as well.

I've never done the whole gear thing....well motorcycle gear! LOL!

But I figure this time it may be a good idea.
I'm looking at custom made pants if I decide to get some though.
Not much seems to be made for those of us with thighs larger than average

I usually get rid of the factory decals, but as 02 said, some of them are under the clear coat now-days. I'm thinking the Ninja decals might not be though, in which case you wanna get rid of them immediately. The sooner the better. I just use a hairdryer. Warm the decal up a little, then just peel them off...being careful not to get the paint too hot. Don't hold the heat too close or for too long. You just wanna warm the decals. The paint will be fine. Just make sure their on top of the paint, of course.

Cool bike though Sal! Definitely gear up. All the time, everytime!

If they areon the outside of the clearcoat I can take it to my buddy at the TOyota dealership around the corner. They have a way to get this kind of thing of with zero issues in about a minute.
They did this for my wife with something on her truck - I'll post pics and so forth once it comes in.

I HAD A BLACK CBR600RR AND ILL TELL YOU...WHEN ITS CLEAN - IT LOOKED AWESOME! BUT...ITS HELL TO KEEP CLEAN!!
