    Re: 2009 CBR 600RR

personally i like my r6 the best out of all the 600 bikes out there. I sat on them all and t seemed to be the best fit for me. The only thing i don't like about it is that im so big and it lacks a lot of low end power. I will be gearing it adding exhaust and a programmer though and then it should be gravy.

I love the power of the 1k. I mean the power is there no matter what. This is by far my favorite bike. My last one was a 2005 GSXR1k.

Here is my old 2005 GSXR1k:

And here is my new baby..2007 GSXR 1K:

getting rid of the catalytic converter sure makes a difference. Exhaust & gearing and I bet you'll have one punchy R6.

The GSXRs are also race ready, GSX-R, R for race

              Re: 2009 CBR 600RR

All the production sportbikes that you see in the AMA events, World circuit, etc...are track bikes. Some might have a slightly more aggresive track set-up and feel than others. Like I mentioned above, it is something how much a tenth or 2 here and there seem to change the feel to some folks. Thanks for adjustable rear-sets, forks, suspension, etc...you can get your bike set up perfect for you and your riding style.
Really, you adapt to the bike. After all, each year, they're all pretty darn close in demensions. I remember when I got my '03 CBR how far forward I felt. That was the most rigid/aggrssive SS ever. It set new standards, and changed the whole name of the game for 600s. And, has held onto a couple of hefty titles since it's debut. It's taken the AMA Formula-X and World SuperSport every year since it came out. One hell of a machine. I just had an itch to see what the oh so mighty R6 was about, so I'm scratching it. After totalling my '07 R6, I was ready to get back on a Honda. I'm kinda glad they were all out of them cause I grabbed the 2008 R6 13S to see if what had been written was true about Yamaha's new production SS. And I must say that I am pleased with it. The 13S model (2008-'09) R6 is a totally different bike than the 2CO (2006-'07 model). Yamaha sent me a limited book on the production of the 13S, and it is something else what went into that model. It drew some attention. The gentleman that engineered Valentino Rossi's MotoGP championship winning Yamaha M1 even stepped in and got his hands on the motor. He said that he was amazed at what the guys were doing with that production bike so he just had to get involved. Having one in the garage, I have to add that I am happy that he shared his time on it. They won't even give his name in the book. They just refer to him as "the guru".

SOME BIKES WILL AHVE A MORE "RACE FEEL" BUT ITS ALL WAHT YOU GET USED TO. I FEEL WEIRD ON ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES A HONDA. THE SAME WAY YOU FEEL ON ANYTHNG ELSE BUT A GSXR

BUT WILL WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS - YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO TWIST IT!!

I agree.. I definitely suggest at least sitting on all of them if you don't have a chance to ride one. Either way, they are the biggest rush I have ever had. It feels like you are in your own world on the bike. I love it. I just wish there was a track close to me so I could get on the track

That's like JenningsGP. Designed primarily for motorcycles. Jennings is just for motorcycles.
What's the price for a weekend on the track? And how often do they have open track weekends?

Sounds pretty much the same as Jennings. Jennings is $120 a day (weekends) $105 weekdays. 2 miles, 14 turns. Designed and built for bikes only. Every other weekend is open track. I think about every circiut except AMA races there. Some of the AMA guys jump in cuircut races, though, like CCS now and then when there's a few grand prize money.
We gotta plan a track weekend. There's a Best Western right near Jennings, and there is RV lots with power, water, etc...right at the track if you do the camper thing. Tires and this&thats are sold, mounted and such.

                            Check it out:

Jennings GP's number one goal is safety. Our second goal is to make sure our riders have fun! There is plenty of run off room in all fourteen turns for our riders. Ride the safety of the track...

Either one would be awesome. Jennings is about 20 minutes East of Tallahassee.

all this talk about riding and now i want the weather to break. it was 61 degrees in chicago about a week ago and I was able to take my 600rr out for a spin. My ****ing R6 wouldnt start though. had to go out and get a trickle charger. now its back to being 30 degrees. I need to move somewhere i can ride all year.

I am selling my bike if anyone is interested. I don't get any time to ride it now and its not going to get any better. It just sits in the garage. There are pics here in this thread.
