Me and the wife have been talking about getting another dog. Well she really has been the one mentioning it. She wanted a lab. They're great dogs, but I've had one and I just want something else. So we've talked about a Doberman (black), or German Shepherd. Both, dogs I've had growing up. Both great dogs. I've never had a Pit Bull, and that's what I really want. I want a pretty, sweet, little red-nose pit. The ones I know are great dogs too. A friend of mine had a red-nose pit like I'd never seen before. It was a frosted, kinda gray color. It was beautiful. Then his girlfriend accidentally let it out when she opened the door when he was about 6 months old, and he was gone. My friend explained to me how rare that color pit is. So, just last weekend, I get a knock on the door. There's a lady standing out there. I open the door, she says, "is this your dog?" Then this little guy comes running around the corner all happy. I knelt down, and he ran right to me. The lady said she and her son had walked around the neighborhood for 2hrs trying to find the owners. She said she couldn't take it home, so I gladly took the dog in. I figured, of coarse, someone was missing him. I opened the garage and looked for someone to pass looking for him, but no-one ever drove by.
Short of it. The dog stayed the night. He was great. My daughter loved him. Surprisingly, my little dog got along with him.(he doesn't like any other male dogs.) We ran an add for found dog. I almost hoped that nobody would claim him, but the next day, a guy drove by while my mother-inlaw was arriving. He stopped out front, and before he could finish his sentance, she said "I think we might have who you're looking for." So, there he went. I wasn't home when he left, but my wife said that the puppy got very happy and just kissed all over his owner. That's good. I could tell the first night, though, that they weren't raising that dog well. He was getting spoiled already. He couldn't have been 4 months old, and he was all about people food. I taught him to sit and not jump on the couch in 2 minutes. He was great. He was sweet and cheerful. He listened, and learned fast. I want one.
This is Red. yeah...Red. That's his name. Original huh.
