My daughter got a little 2gb iPod Shuffle and one of those iPod dogs that she can hook it up to. Well my wife has had one of the iPod Nanos for about a year I guess. The 4gb Nano charges normally when hooked up to the computer or car, and iTunes opens up automatically when it's plugged into the computer. My daughters new Shuffle won't even register a charge. It's supposed to be fully charged after 4hrs. It's been well over that, and the light on it is still flashing orange. (it goes green when charged). Also, how will I get it running with iTunes? I opened iTunes manually, and it still doesn't recognize it.
Anyone know more about these things, and how multiple ipods function off one iTunes account??? and maybe why it's not charging fully?

    Thanks

      Re: iPod shuffle

I unplugged it, then plugged it back in and everything is working fine with it now. Now I'm having to jam to my daughter's tunes.

Glad everything is working out for you now. When all else fails.....unplug it and then plug it back in.

glad you figured it out- I stay away from I-Pods. I use Sansa so I can use drag and drop from anywhere and not have to use I-Tunes

That's exactly what I always did. Just dowload from limewire, move files to iTunes, then sinc the iPod. That was nice, and free, but I'm not getting anything to pull up on limewire.??? what gives?..I guess I need to go pro/pay for Limewire to work anymore, or what?

You can still find the old free version of Limewire.....just gotta search for it, it's out there.

I personally use a shuffle when I train but I promise when it craps out I will not buy another Apple Ipod. Being able to drag and drop from ANY computer to your MP3 is so much nicer... *uck Apple.

                      Re: iPod shuffle

I had an iPod Mini that wouldn't hold charge. It was still under warranty, so I contacted Apple and they replaced it for free.

I just replaced the Mini for the new iPod Nano and everything seems to be working fine. I've always use iTune to download music.

ARE YOU SURE IS AN OFFICIAL APPLE IPOD? I ORDERED ONE OF THOSE FROM EBAY AND IT WAS A JAPANESE COUNTERFEIT...

SHUFFLES ONLY COME AS 1 GB...UNLESS THEY UPGRADED THEM RECENTLY
