    Question About Bowflex?

    Hey I know of someone who just bought the PR 3000 Bowflew a month ago, needs the cash, and needs to depart with it.

    first are they decent for a home gym?

    how much should I offer him, I have seen them on sale for a grand. I was thinking 400.00-500.00

    Or should I pass it by....

    I'D SAY $400-$500 WOULD BE FINE

        I HAVE A BOWFELX EMTREME 2 AND I DONT LIKE IT. I NEVER FEEL LIKE I WORKED OUT. NEVER GET SORE FROM IT LIKE I DO WITH FREE WEIGHTS

            i'm not a bowflex sorta guy. 400-500 sounds like a steal, but if you dont like it, it was still a waiste of $

              i have one as well.. but id like to sell it for some free weights...but there again there isnt room in the garage..lol

                To answer your first question, I think they make an "okay" home gym if (and only if) one isn't into working out with weights. It's perfect for a beginner and/or someone who should not medically lift heavy weights, as in dumbbells and bb plates. I would think that it's about as effective as a universal gym.

                              I have a 300 lb Olympic weight set I got for like $300 at a local sports shop. Brand new and great for when I cant make it to the gym.
