I should have called Dave because he's been through this before and can relate. He would have told me to save my breath. I called some of our creditors this morning to see if I could get an due dates extended and interest and penalties waved... OH, BUT NO!
We're back in our hole due to Thanksgiving holidays and bad weather that has delayed our crew from finishing up this job. It was suppose to be finished before Thanksgiving and no later than the end of Nov. There are only days away from being finished. I was making payments on everything up until a couple of weeks ago when our money ran out and we've been waiting on final payment. I called to explain this... I haven't even had the money for payroll last week and our payroll taxes are due on monday... so the late fees, interest and penalties are eating us alive!
You would think when a company or individual has not been late on a payment for 7 years and is in good standings... that business can make exceptions. Really... I've had some of them be very understanding while others not at all... how can someone get out of the hole when you just keep piling it in on them.
To add salt to the wound, I'm sitting at my desk and I hear this constant pounding outside. I go out to see what it is and they are tearing up the concrete putting in a pit for a tank... CONCRETE!!! My husband business is concrete! No we didn't get a chance to bid on the job. Here we are about to lay off his crew because we don't have any more work for them after the apartments are finish and there is my office with a concrete job. ****!!!!!
