who, i don't know, how many well that is a publishing industry criteria for all books buys
a friend told me this story this am, she saw it on the news
publishers, book editors best friend is PUBLICITY
is this getting publcity, you bet your life, it's one of those funny cute idea that happens to meet a niche'
apparently it is only 40 pgs
now a 40 pg book is cheap too publish, biggest cost in publishing is promotion, since they are getting all they want for FREE cause news shows and programs need stuff too fill 24-7, they are always looking for NEWS, especially holiday times, historically slow news
so, they probably figure they can easily sell 500k, maybe a million
cost a buck, sell for ten, it's a huge winner for them
the other thing if the kid has a personality and is a good interview, they could sell 3 million tops
so it's bottom line business decision
notice when this is out, xmas time, folks might buy it as a fun gift
so worlwide you have a core audience of 200 million book buyers
i buy on average 30 a year, some years i've bought upwards of 100
this year i'm around 25
