I saw a show on NGHD about the "evil" mind. What makes people act evil... It was interesting. It talked about the terrible acts in Africa. It was a documentary. It had doctors, professor, an African phylanthropist, etc...Well these two guys, that were studying the parts of the mind that "light up" during these type of tough decisions, asked questions like this. One that they asked, they put you in an African setting where your tribe is in hiding, in the jungle, from the militant/rebels. The question: "would you smother your crying baby for to not give up the location of your tribe...to save everyone else?"
but, to the question. A female is precious. A female child with a whole life ahead is more precious. There are too many variables. I think that....I'll save the dissertation and let some folks answer that can just answer the question
I would save my kids over my wife. Not an easy decision by any means. I would expect her to do the same.
We have lived a decent life, maybe a little short but we have lived. My kids haven't even had a chance yet.
I hope to God nothing like this will ever present itself.

you make a good point- if it was up to her she would say save the kids as would I- the only thing is if I would choose her- I wouldn't be able to survive without her and if I chose the kids- she would never let me live it down and we would probably both not survive without them- its a lose lose situation now matter how you add it up.

exactly!! funny thing is
a) she'd choose the kid. (i'd be SO toast, lol)
b) even KNOWING what you said to ba ABSOLUTELY dead on...i'd STILL choose her!
(oh...and it's only 1 kid. i'd still have a couple left. not that, thats a consilation prize or something, just trying to be clear. fukin morbid, but clear!))

I honestly don't think this question can be truly answered because I believe, like anything, you never know how you would react unless you were put in that situation. All I know is, I would want Fuzo to choose our daughter over me without any thought involved.

ya know...maybe i'm fuked up, becouse it'd be a fast decission too! no doubts about it. wouldnt even have to think. i'd have remorse i'm sure. it would be crushing after the fact....but, thats the way it'd be.
