after we closed the school, i've been busy doing shyt for my dad, the lawyer and what not. i figured i'd get offered some job's, so i really didnt push it with sending apps, plus i wasnt sure what things i'd have to do to help the ol'man, so i was kinda just hanging and waiting. i got a few phone calls. people offering me their checkbook so i can go out and buy and sell. coulda done it wholesale, retail, whatever, but i really just figured i wanted to get back in the chair...run a usecar dept. with all the shyt going on in the auto biz, alot of dealers are kinda sitting on their hands right now...some of them have some real turd's running their dept. into the ground, but their too fuked up to realize it!
i had a job offered to me, pretty much right out of the gate. a friend of the family's, and a real respected guy in the biz, wanted me to come over to this place he's doing some consulting at. at first, i was hesitant becouse it aint a management job...i'd kinda be like a contrator. i can retail, wholesale, whatever, but i start the deal and run it through the end...financing and all (for retail deals). the more i think about it, the more i think it's time too worry about me. no more dept. meetings, worrying about wholesale loss, advertizing, fixed expenses, worring about "my sales team" and how they are doing. just me and my money! he's also in the process of buying a gm store, lol. so, there's more to come down the road, depending how that goes. i'm supposed to call him this afternoon and we're gonna get together tomarrow morning and hash this out. i'm gonna try to get some start up $ from him (probly aint gonna happen in this market) and i know i can get a demo out of him, (they dont have demo's there, but i'm willing to bet he'll figure that one out).
they are getting traffic, just having a hardtime with lenders. we're both hoping that with my connections at some of these banks, i may be able to push some deals through. if the only thing i'm pushing are my own deals, i believe i can!
