I'd say the hottie Palin.

I hated the move at first then everyone said she was so hot and I bought into it but she sank the campaign.

McCain at 72 could very well have died in office and it would have been Palin.

Huckabee or Romney would have wrapped up the election for the Right.

I agree with all of the above but the most recent gaff of Palin pardoning the Thanksgiving Day Turkey while they slaughtered Turkeys right behind her made her look like a dingbat!

I liked her during the election but now Im seeing that I really wouldnt have wanted her as Prez if McCain kicked the bucket....BUT id rather her any day over Obama or that stumbling bumbling fool Biden!!!!

It wasn't Palin. Palin was a smart move - if it wasn't for her it probably would have been a landslide. If McCain would have put someone in there that was a typical white, republican form DC - he would have lost by a greater percentage. What is interesting is Palin is essentially the same as Obama - little experience with a pretty face; Obama just had the media covering his ass.

I think Trip is right. This was the Democrats to lose because Bush has trashed the Republican name. McCain wasn't really running on policy though, he was running on his past (his heroism and experience) and I think he failed at offering a contrast of beliefs and policy against a great articulating politician.

Mccain also wasted valuable time and money harping on shit that most americans didnt care about, namely william ayers, obamas birth certificate, obamas job as community organizer, etc etc...Most peeps didnt give a shit about any of that, but mccains peeps beat it into the ground and wasted a lot of $$$ on that shit.
