Lightning struck my husband's house and fried the heating & a/c unit. He got to have an electrician come out and look at just how bad the damage is to the electrical. We know some parts of the house will need rewiring.

Yes... this is one of the houses we are trying to sell.

damn kid...how come when some badluck hits you, it always takes us too??!! lol...we know your pain kiddo...we just lost 1200.00 in granit counter top!! (about 2 hrs ago!)

it's official we have a three for three

yesterday out of the blue, we get a blue northern, violent winds late in the day from 4-6pm, very cold

i go out to drug store to get some stuff, pull out of the garage, and low and behold I have no back yard fence, arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, one whole side got knocked down

Oh... I forgot that I posted this. That tells you how little of my brain is left.

As I posted in Dave and his wife's thread about the granite, the glass windows in the garage door at my house are now shattered.

We just finished getting my husband's truck fixed after he backed up and hit a car parked illegally. $1,500 to fix his truck door... since I had just dropped his insurance to liability and uninsured motorist only, because we just couldn't afford full coverage that was going to be $1,700. $1,000 deductibles on our houses... just can't win for losing.

Good news on the windows, my dad is going to get me some plexiglass from one of his distributors at wholesale price to replace the glass. At least it won't be as expensive as paying full price for glass to replace it.
