I am planning a vacation to Hawaii next summer and I was wondering if any of you have been. Where is the best place to go? I can go to any island so whatever is the best vacation spot is the place I want to go. Any suggestions?

depends on what you looking for. been to oahua, kauia, and maui.
maui was our favorite for affordibility, and they offer a little of everything. we stayed in kehie, which was awesome. sunny side of island, good places to eat for reasonable, good bars..there are party towns there also..cant remember the names,lol.
kauia was awesome too....almost too laid back, but it was the most pretty place on earth i have been...rains alot though, and food places are not as plentiful,and way more expensive.
oahua was a joke...like a las vegas/newyork on an island. 99% of the people visiting are orientals in a very big hurry, and quite rude if you ask me...not laid back at all...if you going to party, then this is the place thoughSUPERMOD@ LORDSOFIRON.COM (invite only)

Go to kauia then...We stayed in Hanelie bay(sp) pretties part of island...killer snorkeling right off the resort....very niceSUPERMOD@ LORDSOFIRON.COM (invite only)

MY FAMILY STAYED ON LAIE POINT ON OAHU. ITS NEAR THE NORTH SHORE AND IT WAS GREAT! I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!..“Your desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay the same.”

Kaui'i is my favorite fer sure ! oahu is nice if you're on the north shore, otherwise wikiki is like LA with graffiti on EVERYTHING ! I actually thought the asians where pretty friendly as compared to the stuck up the a$$ navy wives. if you wanna kick it for sure Kauai'i !!!Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.

I loved Hawaii, unfortunately I went for my first honeymoon and we're divorced now. I would love to go back. We went Maui and Moloka‘i. We were suppose to go to Lanai, but a hurricane hit the week before the wedding. Maui was great because there was tons of activities to do and see. I didn't think the food was worth the price, but it is what it is and maybe we weren't going to the best restaurants. One thing we did that was well worth the price was a helicopter tour of Maui. Blue Hawaiian tours are the best. They even have a video camera in the nose of the chopper, so you get a video of your tour. http://www.bluehawaiian.com/
You can charter a plane to any of the islands and spend a day or two. I highly suggest going to at least one of the small islands if not for a day then overnight.
Moloka`i ( Molokai )was the best, especially if you like it nice and quite. It's very relaxed and what you think of old Hawaii or it was back then. That was 15 yrs ago. It's probably some huge resort now. lol They had no chain restaurants, so everything was hole-in-the-wall mom and pop. The best cooking on the islands.
I'm hoping to get to go back some day. It's just way out of our price range right now.Comment
