Thanks Firstenergy. How does supply and demand fit into the equation?

Re: Is the market just reacting to an Obama presidency or

I skimmed passed a few post, so excuse me if this has been stated, but think about it. If you're an invester, market trader, etc, and your country is talking about hiking taxes on your ass, and your ass alone. Would you worry about the guy under you, or would you make sure your investments are secure? I bet I can speak for the market investers/capitalists. They're gonna make sure they don't loose a dime. or just make sure they aren't hit as hard as their own government plans on doing. With that said. Investers don't stop investing...for long. They are capitalizing, somewhere. Just not here.

corn lost because the price of crude dropped so much. with gas prices lower why pay for ethanol which is a dead end fuel anyway and should have never been pushed

I think you mean in reference to commodity prices which will effect your lifestyle? If so, it is my take that there will be downward pricing pressures on commodities as the global market is in this deflating/slow growth period. Tax increases and protectionism (as proposed by obama) will worsen this problem.

I don't know what next year will bring. The cost of inputs were rising just as fast if not faster than corn prices and that is a big concern for me for next year. Noone expected corn to stay at $7 bucks.

What gets me are investors reactions to 3rd quarter earns being down. Where have these people been all this time? As slow as the economy has been it's no big surprise that 3rd earning are down. Hello, it's a no brainer! Why are all these investors so panicked over it? There isn't any reason for it. Ok, it's a bad year. Your not going to make as much this year as you have in the past. This things happen... you can't have record profits ever quarter. It would be great it that happened, but this is reality...

I heard a news report this morning that safe sales are up. Great! ...everyone is stuffing their money under mattresses.
