Snicks, it's like Fuzo said man, it's good and bad. Now if all of these voters that are getting out there and doing their civic duties were actually educated on on the candidates policies that would be fantastic. The problem is that just isn't the case. There's a great deal of voter fraud and so many are caught up in Obama being black. Hell, just the other day I saw a chick in a t-shirt that had Obama's pic beside Martin Luther King Jr's pic with time for change written under it. I just started laughing like hell, no way is this fukktard anywhere near the caliber person as MLK. Now, he may surprise everyone and be what this country needs, I doubt it but I guess it could happen. The point is, too many people are voting for the wrong reasons. Do you really think all of these new registrants just had a wake up call and decided to get involved? Did these folks all of a sudden get interested in politics and realize that they can make a difference? I gotta go with fukk no.

while i agree with what your saying snick, for the most part, i see fuzo's point too. here in detroit, as way of percentages, the voters come out 2-3times more during a mayorial election, than they do for a presidential election. this is a city that has showed their decission making prob's in the recent past. a few years ago, they (the voters) were offered 2 options.
1) african american male. 50something, storng biz owner, lawyer, very strong in the community.
2) african american male. 30something, big on the party scene. no biz experience, built bigger than a house, 1carrot diamond stud earing and runs with a 6-8 member posse. (bodyguards?...the guy is 6'8, 340lbs!!! bodyguards? he wasnt even voted into anything yet)

who do you think the citizens of detroit elected? not only once, but twice. only after getting caught perjuring himself and costing the city MILLIONS of dollars did he get REMOVED from office...and the citizens STILL cried faul!
thats the mentality of the regestered voter increase in michigan. i'm sure it's not all like that...but thats pretty poor

i do see some of your guys point with people may be just voting because of the color issue, but saying that you have to say that there plenty out there that are voting for McCain also just because of color... it is a sad truth but it is the truth.

I did read the full thread snick. What I meant was no one has used color as an issue of hate or used hate speech relating to color. To mention color or to write that color is an issue for others in not a problem in my book?

I find it so funny and on some level very sad that this section of the board been nothing more than countless attacks on a certain candidate and when others have tried to voice what they felt and why they felt the way they do they have been yelled at called names and downright ridiculed. There is been so much crap and downright stupid misguided bull shit facts thrown out that I honestly think some if not a lot of people lost sight of what is really happening, and not have noticed the good that will/may come from this election. Look past your stupid ass keyboards and stop digging so hard for some great skeleton of someone past, and tearing apart someone plan that you really do not fully understand and take a good look at what is happening around you. We Americans are speaking out more so then ever!! Record numbers of nontraditional voters are voting, Record number of people that have never voted before are registering and voting!!

This is what is going to turn our country around, people are finally going to feel that their vote counted and the person THEY voted for was elected and they will feel good about their decision. This is what will make our country stronger and will in turn get our economy back on track, not the promise of some ones plan on taxes or health care that will probably never ever see the light of day, or if it I guarantee it will not be the exact the proposed or told us Americans. I just feel that that fact that so many are getting out voting some for the very first time is great step in the right direction for our country.

I try to share your optimism but I think having more misinformed voters is not a good thing and I do think the majority of our population is misinformed - if they were not Obama would not be where he is today. We obviously have a population that thinks a majority should be able to infringe the rights of the minority; that is Obama's policy isn't it I'll protect 95% of you while I burden 5% of you, even though most of us know that number is heavily skewed but as long as he gets 50% +1 to believe him the majority can rule.

Having a grossly uninformed electorate I think is more dangerous to our country than Obama and or terrorists. We will be defeated from the inside out.
