    There have been lots of dour headlines, so I thought I'd make mine as positive as possible! Now that I've got your attention, this is really, really good news for McCain:

    A couple things to note:
    1. Weekends are always bad for Republicans in terms of polling, especially this weekend with Halloween and soccer play-offs so families aren't home to answer the phone.
    2. Independents are breaking big for McCain.
    3. Throw out the Gallup poll results and don't let yourself become depressed over them. The IBD/TIPP poll came very close to calling the race perfectly in 2004.
    4. Be happy about this but don't become complacent!!




    Okay... Just for fun, I re-weighted the Dem/Rep/Ind ratio to the actual voter turnout in 2004 of Dems 37%, Reps 37%, Inds 26%...

    DRUMROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    McCain 47.59%
    Obama 44.48%

      I hope McCain does win. I don't have a very good feeling about it though. The news have all but declared him a winner.

          wow your are obviously in the wrong career field LOL!!!!

          here are my thoughts, as if they matter, all polls have their own methodolgy and they all hope they are right..

          to compare 2004 is sorta a mute point. We already see record numbers showing up to vote, some say we are seeing record numbers of hispanic voters, which maybe a whole new twist on the outcome. So tuesday is the big day - lets see how close the polls really were... and maybe Fuzo will have a new job!! i can already see the IBD/TIPP/FUZO poll LOL!!!!!!

          should be very interesting Fuzo to say the least on Tuesday.

                i was doubting it at all... i did think you did the math equation at the end that was part i was making light of that was all...

                no matter how good the poll is thou it is just a poll... i really think with record turnouts at the polls that Tuesday is going to be a very interesting..
