    7th grade math, lol...watch it, my daughters reading this.

    explain please...been awhile since 7th grade!!

    use the distributive property to rewrite the expression

    3(6z+1)

        you distribute the 3 into everything so basically it's (3x4z)+(3x1)=12z+3

          Wow, I haven't got a clue about this anymore. I used to get A's in math and now I can't remember any of that!

                    and to explain it dave, you always treat the parenthesis as an (x). 3(6)=18

                        I got interupted, but another example of the same:

                        2(2z+2)
                        4z+4

                        That looked like I was talking about Doink the Clown. I didn't mean interupted by the post above. The phone interupted me.
