You could eat off the engine it was sooo clean. Ended up with a non-restored 69 camaro instead cause the cuda broke the bank (my parents)

                Nice picks though

Wow!! Did you restore the camaro? Those were the cool cars when I was in school - that and the trans-am. My first car was a Toyota Corona. It was a pc o crap but it ran!

i can agree with that. the cobra was actually a sports car by definition. a sports car with mega muscle.

Mr Shelby created that car to show the Italians and Germans a thing or two on the track. And that he did. I wish I could remember his words quote for quote. I like the way he put it. He's a 'tell it like it is' kinda guy.

I had a 71 buick skylark came with a 350 and 3 speed in the column. when i restored it i put in a chevy 350 bored .30 over, and a turbo 400 trans. the parts for buicks are hard to come by.

Well I'm a 69 Camaro nut. I restored a 69 back in 82- It was a 69 RS(not RS/SS) with the hide away headlights. Had it canary yellow- small block 350- .30 over- double hump heads w/2.02's- Hedman headers- 350 turbo w/shift kit and the accumilator springs shortned for a bone breaking shift- had frame connectors to keep it from twisting and 4:11 12 bolt posi. It was probably an 8 out of 10. It took me 3months to find the original RS emblem on the trunk- I wish I had never sold that car

                              Re: Just for you O2!

man are there a couple that I wish I hadn't let go. Me and the wife were just talking about the latest that I wish I had in the garage. It's no classic like a '69 Camaro, but it's first run down the quarter mile right outside of Augusta, GA was against a Gold RS with a black bumble-bee stripe. I had a friend in high school that had a cherry RS just like it, bumble-bee stripe and all. Sweet rides. My latest 'wish I had it back' that I'm talking about was just a slow '98 Mustang GT. It was a pretty Ford ultra blue metallic. It was bone stock that first run. I have every time-slip that car ever ran somewhere, but i believe that run was a 14.2, if memory serves me right. I figured the Camaro was gonna school me by the way it sounded at the burn-out, but his time had to be about a half a second higher. The fastest I got my Stang down the track were low 13s. It looked so good when I got rid of it though. For the first time ever, the wife mentioned how mad she was because I had just put a set of polished 18" 2000 Cobra R wheels on it like 2 weeks before I got rid of it. But I had a hankering for something else, and when I saw the new/present Mustang online, I didn't want my '98 anymore. I still haven't got a new one either, lol.
