It's hard to predict because so many people are claiming to support "change" even when the glimpses of change we have been exposed to appear even riskier than our current path.

I think there will be some people that want to vote for Obama because he has a good story but when in comes down to it Davis, Ayres, Acorn, wright, black theology and communism mixed with the inexperience will have an impact on some people. I think the polls always show favor for the democrats.

I think McCain will win, I just can't accept that Americans are that ignorant yet.

Sadly, I think Obama may win because of that very fact. I'm a long ways from being a scholar, but I've been blessed with a little bit of common sense and reasoning skills. The level of ignorance and laziness I encounter is really sad.

o.k., let me modify my statement: "I just can't accept that voting Americans are that ignorant, yet". I may have to accept it Nov. 5th but if voting Americans are that ignorant, that will pose more of a problem than Obama being president.

correct me if I'm wrong firstenergy, but I believe he is referring to Obama's 'anyone and everyone should go to college' policy. See, not everyone should go to college. You put yourself through twice, and props for the hard work and dedication. You come off as someone that not only benefitted from college, but could also benefit society. Your situation could give false hope to those that have no chance in hell, and under Obama's plan, that would cost us, me and you, alot of money. ya know, putting some jackass thru college for umteen years because he/she can't figure it out. But could you imagine all the people that would be lined up for school when the government guarantees the dollar. Heck, 4 or 5 times doesn't sound too bad...if you really are trying to figure out what you want to do...or can do. Then, like some folks, these government ticketiers go thru the process and realize they can't become that rocket surgeon, so finally, the government deems them useless and divvies out more of the taxpayer dollars for them to relax on.

look, i put myself through school twice, and have worked for everything i have. the LAST thing i want is to take it and give to someone who doesn't work.

AND the majority of the new tax revenues will come from ending the tax cuts for the top 1% of earners in this country. trust me when i say this does not include you or me.

YES if you are a couple earning more than $250K per year your taxes will increase. so, i can understand why you would oppose the plan if you fall into this tax bracket.

but ask yourself this question- how has the current tax code benefitted the middle class? do you REALLY believe the elite give two solitary craps about you?

Obama, as recently as yesterday said that the mccain camp was incorrectly saying he wanted to increase the capital gains tax from 15% to 28% when he will only increase it to 20%. That is a 33% increase!
100 million americans reported capital gains last year.On what planet do you think that 100 million americans is the elite 1%. It appears that you might need to return to school once more and may I suggest math classes.

Universal health care... Obama is promising universal health care to all. He has not showed or even mentioned how this coverage will be funded and I'm sure if he told you that it would only cost 7 cents and only affect the top 1%, you would be inclined to believe him. In england were they have this type of care there is a 15% payroll tax ON ALL people from the first dollar earned.I'm sure since you have already drank the liberal kool aid, you think somehow this is "free" too?
