first i want to state i think both parties should get equal time on the air waves, A lot of people accross the country rely on what they hear in the news and probally most of which don't know which ones are more liberal or conservative....
in reguards the fainess doctrine which states basically that broadcaster should broadcast content that is honest, equitable, and balanced. In 1987 it was repealed by Ronald Reagan, leading to an explosion in the numbers of talk shows and hosts. Ie the Rush limbaughs, Sean Hannity's and so forth...
