IT WAS A 1977 DATSUN 280Z...I THOUGHT I WAS BAD BACK IN THE DAY...MY DAD PAINTED IT FOR ME AND IT WAS BACK WHEN THE "FADED" PAINT JOBS WERE IN. NOTHING BIG IN THE ENGINE DEPARTMENT, JUST AN INLINE 6 CYLLINDER. BUT, BOY IT WAS FUN TO DRIVE! I WAS THE FIRST PERSON IN TOWN BACK THEN TO GET THE "SAW BLADE" RIMS TOO! HAAA!!

YEAH, I USED TO GET IN TROUBLE. MY DAD DID PAINT AND BODYWORK AND HE WOULD GET HOME FROM WORK AND ID HAVE THE CAR WET SANDED DOWN AND READY FOR PAINT. THAT CAR GOT 3 OR 4 DIFFERENT PAINT JOBS ON IT. THIS WAS THE LAST ONE IT GOT AFTER ALL THAT.

damn good looking Z. Those were fun to drive. I had a friend that had a few of those as well. His dad owned the Datsun/Mercedes dealership here in town back in the 70s-80s. My friend had a kickass little orange 240. We ragged him because we, my brother & I, were all about Detroit power, but it was just in fun. Those cars were very cool. Plus my very first vehicle came from that dealership. An '87 Nissan King-Cab 4x4. I didn't like it. I wanted a 'real truck',lol. that is, until I rolled it 3 times. Then I immediately realized what a nice truck it was just 2 minutes after I climbed out of the driver window while it laid on it's passenger side all mangled.
