    OK LIKE WE DIDNT SEE THIS COMING....

    COLIN POWELL BACKING BARACK OBAMA.

    YOU CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT, BUT IM FROM ALABAMA AND WE HAVE SO MANY DISGRUNTLED "COLORED" FOLKS ITS NOT FUNNY. ALL OF THEM ARE VOTING FOR HIM BECAUSE OF HIS SKIN COLOR. FOR MOST OF THEM, THIS IS THE VERY FIRST TIME THEY HAVE EVER REGISTED TO VOTE. THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT. WHY DIDNT IT MATTER BEFORE? BECAUSE THERE WASNT A BLACK MAN RUNNING, THATS WHY!!

    AND YOU CANT TELL ME THAT "COLORED" FOLKS DONT THINK HES THEIR SAVIOR. I DO A LOT OF WORK FOR PUBLIC HOUSING AND MOST OF THE FOLKS THAT LIVE THERE ARE "COLORED" OR MINORITIES AND TALKING WITH THEM - NONE OF THEM KNOW BARACKS PLAN OR IDEALS. THEY JUST SAY THE "BLACK MAN HAS ARRIVED" AND THAT THEY ARE VOTING FOR HIM.

    DONT GET ME WRONG, BUT IM ALL FOR EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, BUT IF BARACK WAS WHITE, HE WOULD BE SLAUGHTERED FOR NOT HAVING ENOUGH EXPERIENCE. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. YOU CANT EVEN MANAGE A MCDONALDS WITH THE AMOUNT OF TIME HES GOT IN THE SENATE. AND HES WANTING TO RUN THE FREE WORLD

    ITS A DAMN SHAME FOLKS ARE FALLING FOR HIM AND HIS BULL.

    THIS IS JUST WHAT I SEE IN THE DEEP SOUTH...WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

    I think it goes both ways. You have alot of people who arent voting for him because of his skin color. The reality is alot of people are confused about the real issues and what the cadidates are actually going to do for them. This confusion leads to people either just throwing their hands up in frustration, going with their personal feelings (skin color), or not voting at all. At this point I think the majority will be voting because of personal feelings about the candidate - not because they are armed with the complete picture.
    A faithful heart makes wishes come true.

        i dont know...in my biz, it's really about 95% black..23-40yr olds. most, either arent voting or the older ones are voting mccain! it may be a case of just saying what they think i want to hear, but i tell them that i'm leaning towards another option...i dont like either, and they dont say anything about it. alot of them think of him along the lines of an "uncle tom"...their voting AGAINST him, not for mccain!
        HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!

          Very true o2. howard stern did a street study told obama supporters mccain ideas and let them think they were obamas and they all said kick ass great politics and such. And it was MCcains ideas

            I agree to be honest the people on this board and this board has provided a chance for people to look at peoples opinions and go out and do research for them selfs and find out more about the candidates and unfortuniatly that is rare. Most folks listen the what the media puts out there and just say ok i will vote for him/her.

              i heard that to when they did it. It was a funny bit but also a sad reality. People are not educating themselfs.

                i agree that many blacks are voting for him simply because he is black...but also many whites WONT vote for him because hes black...

                and i really dont think colin powell endorsed him for that reason....
