if BARACK OBAMA becomes president, ya he "plans" on no tax hikes which is a lie but do you know he is going to take away "ITEMIZATION" on your taxes, meaning everyone will have a flat rate deduction, no more itemizing for expenses to your occupation, business, etc. That is a HUGE tax raise. God why are people so blind by this man? His frigging cousins run horrific nations in africa, he can be seen with them in photos. his preacher is racist, he wants to give us to the muslim countries, end of the world type stuff here boys and girl,

Simplify and consolidate are very different then eliminate or take away

I would take the term "consolidate" as meaning combining all into one, therefore, eliminating itemization. If you can do your own taxes in less than 5 minutes, not needing an accountant, I would hence to say that you will not longer be able to itemize.

no in other words people that just fill out the 1040ez would be the ones that can do there taxes quicker and easier..... again i will say no where and anyone can read his tax plan does it say no more itemize deductions.

Lets read and listen before we type... again no where does he say he will take away itemized deductions which what the orginal post was about..
second all he is saying is "IF" you don't do itemized deductions that it will be a little easier to file your taxes that is it.. nothing more

I could never figure out the difference between a tax credit and a tax deduction. I would appreciate some clarification on this subject. Thanks.
Good question -- especially this time of year. A tax credit lowers your tax bill dollar for dollar. A deduction shaves money off your taxable income, so the value depends on your tax bracket. If you're in the 25% bracket, a $1,000 deduction lowers your tax bill by $250. But a $1,000 credit lowers the bill by the full $1,000, no matter in which bracket you are.

your very wrong in that snickers, not flaming. by itemizing your deductions you can double, triple, etc you deduction rate. For occupations and business with lots of outside expense this is the only way to combat that. Those people who this affect will be devestated at tax time.
