    Your standard applied to politics!

    Using a single phrase, how do you come to your political positions? In other words, what personal standard do you apply the candidates and their issues too?

    My standard is individual liberty and whatever candidate holds positions most consistent with that standard is who I support.


    Bob Barr is most consistent with individual liberty (although I have significant concerns with him)
    McCain comes in second
    Obama opposes my standard.

        i really dont care who people think i support or even what people think about me...
        i had who i supported in my sig but you deleted that..so sure hey everybody...OBAMA FOR PREZ!!!!

                I tend to vote along evangelical lines. Obama is the polar opposite of most all my beliefs. I sincerely hope that he is not elected president. McCain, would not be my first choice for the republicans, but is light years ahead of obama. I will find it hard to fathom that the American people are so blinded by world events and/or media propaganda if obama wins.

                If i were the coach of the dallas cowboys, who should I play at quarterback? a guy who has been in the league for years who has a 1st-string back-up, or a rookie who has only played field-hockey in a division-2 school?
                The answer is obvious folks.

                Oh, yeah, and chris obermann of DNC-TV is certifiable. Remember when he spouts off the number of days since "mission accomplished" in a jab at President Bush, that he never mentions the number of days since our last foreign-based attack on American soil.

                How many of you would have placed large bets on 9/11/01 that our homeland would be hit again within one year? I would have plunked down a large sum of cash on that bet. It hasn't happened. Bush has faults, but give credit where credit is due.
