i'm not cold hearted (i dont think) and i dont avoid it...i just havnt had the subject come up or been in any situations inwhich i've had to deal with it...i have no experience in this subject and i dont know of any of the circumstances surrounding it.....when talking about "sport hunting", thats diff. i do know people that do it and i know people that hunt just for "control". (control population, controll the fukers tearing up their fields, ect.). i believe you should eat what you kill, but i've also seen the point on the other side...i've actually have had to scrape that point off the front of my truck!!!!!!!

well, in any case, someone is flying the plane and someone is firing the gun. For those guys, Im sure its more fun than a barrel of monkeys...maybe we should run them down with a hellicoptor until they cant run anymore and then shoot them in the leg..LOL...I mean, we are a lot more civilized than 150 years ago when trappers would leave animals dying for days...I do know a lot of rednecks that so enjoy killing just for the sake of kiliing something and watching it drop...In the mid 1800, trains would stop next to thousands of buffalo and passengers would all point their guns out the window and start dropping buffalo by the thousands...when there were no buffalo left to shoot, they would start the train up and pull away leaving the ground coverd with dead buffalo...Is it any wonder the Indians hated us for that????This kind of shit need s to be fought if we are going to be a civilized culture.

the frequency (or lack of) of aerial hunting is not what concerns me, it's the fact that they do it at all. and the fact that she sponsored the legislation for it is disturbing.

Have you ever calculated the deaths caused by war in the last 100 years and the calculate for decreased births and such to determine how much less our world population is due to this???
I'm a hunter and I don't shoot what I don't eat. I use a larger than needed calber of rifle to assure a quick kill. I have made a bad shot before and the animal did suffer. Damn near kept me from hunting again.
Animals numbers have to be kept in queck, a ratio. An overpopulation of predatory animals throws off the balance of nature.
Too many predators and not enough non predators means that there is less food for the overall number of predators. Then you get famina and disease of the overall heard.
By thinning out the predator population, there is adequate food for all and the herd is healthy. Not to mention the hungry bears because more aggressive and daring, seeking out food in other that their normal stomping grounds.
Thank You BOhunt. I'm sure this topic will get ugly but oh well. I'd love to have my say in it if I had a girlfriend that was pregnant and I would express how I feel. Bottom line is it's in her. She has the physical and emotional issues to deal with for the rest of her life.
I have had my experience with this some time ago and trust me even though she made the choice she hasn't forgotten that our 2 littles could've had a older brother or sister if things were different. We didn't need to try to raise a child then.
