Re: question about palestine
yes, the land belongs to israel. God gave it to israel, israel has bent over backwards to appease the palestinian terrorists, whose goal is to eliminate israel, not live peacefully with them. although, to hear the media, you'd think israel was the aggressor. israel has given up more and more land yet they still get scuds thrown at them constantly. if they wanted to, israel could annihilate palestine with the weapons we have sold and given to them. once again, American technology used for good and defensive purposes when it could very easily be used for complete destruction of the enemy.-----+++DrugFree4Life+++-----

Re: question about palestine
"get off my high and mighty american soapbox"??
where did that come from?
you accusing me of being too patriotic, or are you anti american?
what soap box should i stand on?
would you prefer a european-union soapbox? a north-american union soapbox? a united nations soap box? How about a "citizen of the world" soapbox like barry wants us to have??
which soap box do you stand on? tell me so Ill know the correct one to stand on.
further,
educate me on the comment "there are no true israelites. Are not the people living in israel, israelites? I mean, what would you call them?
Also,
i would think that terror and missle attacks originating from land in which "palestininans" live aimed at the people living in israel--apparently we cannot call them israelites--would mean that the palestinians are the enemy of this unnamed group of people living in israel.
I mean, if your next door neighbor is throwing rocks at your house, wouldnt you consider him your enemy?-----+++DrugFree4Life+++-----

Re: question about palestine
The descendants of Abraham crystallized into a nation at about 1300 BCE after their Exodus from Egypt under the leadership of Moses (Moshe in Hebrew). Soon after the Exodus, Moses transmitted to the people of this new emerging nation, the Torah, and the Ten Commandments. After 40 years in the Sinai desert, Moses led them to the Land of Israel, that is cited in The Bible as the land promised by G-d to the descendants of the patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

The British Mandate sanctioned Israel for the Jewish-Palestinians and Jordan for the Arab-Palestinians. If they want a "Palestine" - I suggest they go back and rename Jordan - Palestine.

Re: question about palestine
who is israel?
On May 14, 1948, on the day in which the British Mandate over a Palestine expired, the Jewish People's Council gathered at the Tel Aviv Museum, and approved the following proclamation, declaring the establishment of the State of Israel. The new state was recognized that night by the United States and three days later by the USSR.
The Israeli Declaration of Independence (Hebrew: הכרזת העצמאות, Hakhrazat HaAtzma'ut or Hebrew: מגילת העצמאות Megilat HaAtzma'ut), made on 14 May 1948 (5 Iyar, 5708), the day the British Mandate expired, was the official announcement that the new Jewish state named the State of Israel had been formally established in parts of what was known as the British Mandate for Palestine and on land where, in antiquity, the Kingdoms of Israel, Judah and Judea had once been.
so your saying that palestinians are terrorists because the land that was once theirs was taken form them and the name changed?

Why do "Palestinians" not attack Jordan? Jordan is in "Palestine" too (and occupies 3 times as much land as Israel)? Palestinians don't want their own country, because they already have it - they want the destruction of Israel.
