    Cell phones

    Im looking to get a new cell phone, I am with nextel/sprint so I only have so many options. My current cellphone (http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=624) is a dinosaur but I love it. Would love to get a blackberry for the interent capabilities or one of the new touch screen ones. I am a bit leery of the touch screen on as my current phone likes to make "pocket calls" - does this phone shut down so that doesnt happen? I know snick has a blackberry and loves it. I would just like to be able to text, take pics, check the internet and of course, call people. Any recommendations?

    I have AT&T and bought the samsung A737 slider and loved it, but my son has talked me out of it. My wife and I both have Blackberry Pearls and love them, but I will say- it takes some time to figure out. I'm not real tech. inclined so I'm probobaly a little slower than most

      We're with Sprint, and I have a Samsung UpStage. I love it. Nice and sleek... light weight so it fits in my purse well. It has camera, video and music capabilities plus a extra backup batter case that extends the battery. The key pad locks so you don't make pocket calls. The downside is sometimes it's hard to hear some callers, but I get a bluetooth headset from Motorola that solved that problem.

      My husband's supervisor just bought the Samsung Instinct... it's a touch screen, but it's kind of pricey. Very cool thu.

        sorry...i hate all cell phones and find them only neccesary to keep in touch in this ever forward moving tech world we live in. were it up to me, all phone would be simple on/off/answer/call, so i could end the texting while driving idiots that plague the roads today. better yet, end ALL cell phones, so we could slow down a little and possibly live with a little less stress! (pagers would be ok)

          Dave... I'm with you on the talking & txt while driving

          When I got divorced, I couldn't afford a land line and cell phone. After getting stranded on a long rural road on my way to my parents house, I chose my cell over the land line. Then after being terrorized by a crazy-stalker ex-bf, and living in downtown in the hood... my cell has gotten me out of some scary situations. I wouldn't give it up for the world.

            MY WIFE AND I ARE THINKING ABOUT GETTING A BLACK BERRY. OUR SERVICE IS UP AND ITS A GOOD PRICE TO GET THIS. I HATE CELL PHONES BUT I NEED IT FOR THE WIFE

              I have to have one. Its the way my kids keep in contact with me when they are out or I am out. I am actually thinking about getting rid of my land line.
