I can tell you that the peeps that used to try and do that, don't anymore- I have told my family doesn't appreciate it. Even my family knows to call before they come. I do not have a problem telling people to leave and not show up w/out calling first- I'm just weird like that

OMG,Im glad to know Im not the only one that hates that shyt. I live so far out in the middle of nowhere that any knock on the door scares the shit outta me. But I still get people who just come knockin on the door with no prior warning. I hear ya deepsouth...I kinda make a joke out of it by saying "Don't come over without calling first or youre liable to get shot with an ak47."...lol

no shyt, and people even know that about me. But the way I am now-days, I'd never see folks if they don't just make it a point to give a shout and ask if it's okay to stop by.

I need to get a picture of our door mat. I'll do that. It's perfect.

I had to have this right when I saw it in Bed Bath & Beyond. I was glad when my wife grinned and said, " oh that's perfect"...because she's the same way as me with people stopping by.
