3-9 months to get to know someone? Maybe, people who are always contradicting themselves but I just lump them into the irrational, two-faced pile and accept the fact that they are deceptive and untrustworthy; then you just acknowledge that you will only get to know them as who they want you to think they are. If your getting to know someone who is not trying to be deceptive - there is no way it would take that long.

Applying this to our current politics.
The McCain campaign has been way more forth-right on issues than Obama. Of course, that seems to be one of the fundamental flaws with progressivism; if your constantly telling people how much your going to do for them, you eventually have to 1) tell them how, 2)tell them lies in regards to how or ignore the how. Obama's whole campaign is organized to be directly deceptive and vague (he's ignoring the how); he doesn't want his delusional promises brought down by the specifics of reality. So yeah, if you keep giving Obama credit and trust when he deserves none; you probably still don't think you know Obama.

It takes that long and longer too BEGIN to know someone.

Over several months most people go thru a struggle or two or a success or two, u need to see how folks perform, react during both the good and bad times.

It's not that folks are deceptive, most have no idea what there value systems are, thus, when they are tested, u can tell by there actions.

^Like a said bro. Only if you give a deceiver trust or the benefit of the doubt. Once you know someone is intentionally deceptive - that's all you need to know.

Obama is full of $hit; that's it, period; you cannot trust him. I will still try to analyze and dissect his philosophy but I will not rely on trusting his word to do that.

McCain is a d1ck; I've never really liked him but he is not deceptive on the level of Obama. He just has the attitude phuck you I want to ban ephedra and if you don't like it tough sh*t.

One negative thing, I have picked up on Sarah Palin is within the last two speeches she has given - she has used the phrase "common good" twice. (Of course, this can't be used against her by the liberals because they to accept this undefinable phrase.) Which could express a belief system consistent with banning books. Has she banned books - I don't know but the insight, she has given us into her belief system, by using that slogan certainly wouldn't not oppose it. That is less than an hour of getting to know her. I definitely think the republicans are getting a bit too hyped up over her but when you use the hype of the Obama campaign as a reference point - republicans hype is minuscule.

i agree on the hype, out of nowhere she is the savior of the pary, american, washington DC, only she can reform, no one else has ever tried
