with the selection of governor sarah palin as VP to john mccain, I predict that the election is the republican's to lose. i figure it this way--

most americans are center-right oriented. thusly, they are majority pro-military, pro-gun, pro-religion, limited government, pro-limited abortion. this would seem to fit the mccain/palin ticket.
mccain obviously has honorable military experience plus many years in washington experience.
palin is a governor and has experience in all levels of government. she has taken on all comers--dems and repubs-- on fiscal reform and ethics. say what you want about the state trooper firing thing and the flip flop on the bridge to nowhere, but these are minor, minor issues.

    to the dems,
barack obama--the top of the ticket--has very limited experience. the argument being made by liberals that palin is of the similar ilk is ridiculous. obama is the presidential nominee, palin is the VP pick first off. obama was an illinois senator (not the same level of responsibility as that of a governor, IMO), and has been an the US senate for as long as he has been campaigning for president. he touts change and reform, yet snubs clinton (a chance to get a woman into the white house) and picks long time washingtonian joe biden..a career politician, elected when barack hussein was 11 years old, as best i can figure.

So, dems, attack mccain and his maverickness and honorable service to our country with obama and his extreme partisanship and questionable ties to the likes of william ayres and rev wright; or, attack palin, governor of a state (she has more executive branch experience than all 3 others, IMO), mother of 5--one of which is a special needs child, one a soldier deploying to iraq soon, one pregnant at 17, with biden. yeah, have fun with that.

The dems are in trouble and they know it.

follow the money and numbers, the facts

        obie biggest money maker ever

his speech more folks watched it than opening of olympics

last night the numbers were so so

she energizes the base, yet republican voter base is down 10% since 04 and democratic is up 7%

as i've said, a rove female neo-con, plain and simple, my guess is they don't plan on winning the election just controlling the party, palin will come out of this a leader of the party and mccain will be a note in history books

trip i htink your a little crazy man. I would liek to see some facts that more people watched his speech than the opening of the olympics. The world was watching the olympics so im going to have to disagree with you on this one. Also i think your they don't plan to win is a bit absurd. Not only do they plan to win but if they aren't successful it's shows just how many stupid people there are in this country.
