Media should be put on trial

This is a post I found on another forum and I totally agree.
Sean was right when he said that news reporting in America, for the most part, is dead. The behavior of the so-called "mainstream" media (mainstream to whom? Columbia faculty? Hollywood liberals?), although predictible, is nonetheless disgusting. The whole witch hunt after Governor (yes, governor, not mayor) Palin is just the more obvious example of their habitual shoddy behavior. The only means for a GOP win is to follow President Reagan's example by the candidates communicating over the media directly to the people. Average Americans will respond to the genuine qualities ofpeople like McCain and Palin and hopefully reject the smoke and mirrors of the actor Obama, Hollywood and the weight of the mainstream media.
When President Mccain takes office, I believe there should be a full investigation of the media's role in this election. The liberal media needs to be formally recognized for what it is, a "liberal" media supporting the Democratic party. This will probably not happen. No matter. The people know. They will respond by tuning their dials on to more professional, objective reporting. You see, FOX News was correct all along. Sean was correct. We are seeing the death of the old liberal media and it ain't pretty. A death too long in coming and much overdue. My concern is that, like the immature adolescent it is, the media does not destroy the country in the process.
