good tires do for a vehicle. I just got a new set of tires put on the wife's car today, and what a world of difference it makes.

You know you have good tires 10-20k miles down the road though. And I learned, over the last few months, that you can't just let anybody mount and balance a set of tires. You want to make sure they have up-to-date, state of the art, fully digital balance equipment. They must have the computer balancing system that puts each tire "on the highway"....no wonder I couldn't get Big 10, and the 5 other big name tire places to get my shyt balanced right for any speed in the past. Those guy's excuse, 'some tires just won't alance out right.' bs

well to a certain point they are right. I have been in the tire industry for 7 years and there are some tires that are going to suck but those are the really big huge off road tires. all other tires should be able to be balanced however sometimes if you have a bad rim it will still not drive perfect. we always check the rims and tires to make sure the problem is in the tires. But you are right that new equipement will really make a difference.

i need to rear tires bad, where did you get them done that you liked?
I live in FL so its been tropical storm crap all week and was trying to drive on the interstate and hydroplaned across 3 lanes the other day. Luckly I know how to fix a drifting problem, or in would have been me going 60 into a concrete divider.

I put a new set of BFG G-Force on the wifes BW and they handle fantastic, but I only expect to get 20,000 out of them

man you guys need to look into a set of bridgestone GO10's they are awesome tires at a good price and carry a 50K warranty on them

MICKEY THOPPSON N50 15'S THESE TIRES WHERE SO BIG MY CCAR LOOKED LIKE A ROCKET. I LOVED THAT CAR. WHITE AND HAD A BIG EAGLE ON THE HOOD OF THE CAR. I HAD CRAIGER RIMS ON IT ALSO

yep tires for my tahoe are gonna run me a shit load...for the ones i want... i got a set for summer then a set for winter....$1200 or more its gonna cost me,,WTF!!!!!!!!

Hey DS go price a set od Bridgestone Dueler Alenza's assuming you are wanting a street tire. they are on sale right now at every bridgestone dealer and should only run you 170-200 bucks a piece with a 65k warranty and some other great benifits.

I had them done at a dealership.

I'm in FL also, so that was one of the main reasons I went ahead and got a new set of tires on her car. because of how wet this season has been turning out to be. and the old ones were pretty much done. The ride quality was gone.

Just make sure they dont jack up your tire monitor - they did on my Suburban when I got new front tires - ran me $100 to fix it.

i just put a new set on the wife's f150. picked up a set of perelli 20's with rims for 1300!!! couldnt pass that up! not as agressive as we usually sport, but man they ride ALOT nicer!!! i'll try to get a pic
