  • Mandatory Evacuation..how to protect my stuff???

    We are having mandatory hurricane evacuation and i really dont want anything to happen to all of my stuff...i have alot of valuables that I cant take with me so what do i do??? will my insurance pay for it if everything gets destroyed...What do I do???

        Take pictures of your stuff for insurance purposes.

            Take a video along with the pictures. If you have a file of receipts, take those along with any other important papers. If something has sentimental value, take that. Best of luck, our thoughts are with you.

              So you have homeowners/renters coverage? If you do, YES take pictures. Keep in mind most policies pay depreciated value so make sure you have the right answers if anything does get damged. For example, my TV got ruined... well, how old was it? 5 years old. They will pay you half of the original purchase cost. the right answer although dishonest is two years...ect.
