Further south the better. Most people who come to Florida in January are trying to escape the cold. From Orlando south to Miami can be 6-12 degrees diffrence in temp. like firstenrgy said. It's always warm in south FL. You can have a very nice relaxing vacation in the keys. The water is beautiful and calm. It's so clear...all the reefs and different sea-creatures. You gotta take a dive or snorkeling trip if you hit Key West.
You can always hit a few different spots. Like start a day or 2 somewhere, then head to the next spot. Depends on how long you're talking about too.1 up

New Smyrna Beach....just south of Daytona, hour from Orlando, not far from Cape Canaveral. You can get a condo with 3 bedrooms for around $650-$800. Excellent restaurants, lovely old town section, nice quiet beaches.A faithful heart makes wishes come true.

You don't need to go to south beach. Miami north miami... there's a 50 mile strech from miami to ft lauderdale that has hundreds of resorts that are family oriented.
This is one example. Its north miami. probably one of the best hotel experiences i've had. Downside, horribly expensive.A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. -Thomas JeffersonComment

A while back, my brother, my sister-in-law, my then girlfriend, and I spent a weekend in Pensacola, FL and it was awesome. I was amazed to see mansions on the beach.Loved by some, Hated by most, but RESPECTED BY ALL
