Also--You wold think that if a Person (generally female) is "false advertising" online with pictures not true to themselves, that they would be opening themselves up to rejection. I think that if you are dating online, as in any other situation, a glaring dishonesty like appearance will only lead to a one time, awkward date. Maybe personality or slutty behavior can sway the man's opinion, but normally not the case. Low Self esteem is a terrible thing and setting up dates with false pictures will only make things worse.

I would really like to think that women arent out to decieve anyone, I think people sometimes have distorted self images. We look in the mirror and see one thing while others see something completely different. It's sad in a way....

i think i know what you mean...sometimes i think we (me and my wife) live in 2 different universes. i look at her and shes SMOKIN!! she looks in the mirror and complains! i'm like wtf? it's the same for me! i guess we see all the flaws (or even past flaws) in ourselves.

Totally agree....I look in the mirror some days and see flaw after flaw.....I look at my handsome man, cant keep my hands off him and think he's the sexiest thing around......he on the other hand is always complaining....again - WTF!!! If only we could look through each others eyes......
I love that line from Pretty Woman when Richard Gere is returning the expensive diamond necklace and the hotel fella says "Its must be hard to let something so beautiful go". Here RG just looked at it like it was just a necklace while the other guy saw it's beauty. Keep telling your wife she's beautiful. We love to hear things like that.......

it's funny you say that, i swear, i tell my wife i wish she could see herself through my eye's all the time!! i hate when she gets into the "i'm ugly" or "i'm fat" mode (she aint nowhere near either)...it kills the boom-boom time when her self confidence drops out!!! me...i'll always see me as a fat dude...but, i landed her as a fat dude, so it obviously dont matter (good thing i can make her laff alot!)

Men do the same thing on those dating/match making websites. They check athletic as body type and you click on their pictures and they are fat. It works both ways.

Btw... I meet my husband online. He said that he saw my picture and decided to join just so he could meet me. I'm a sucker... I believed him. lol

After 13 years of marriage, I wasnt too up for the bar scene so I tried the online thing. Posted a goofy pic (what I thought what a goofy pic) and got hit up something like 50 times in 3 hours. Freaked me out! Can I jut say, men - you will not get a girl telling her off the bat that she's hot - grab a lil maturity and run with it - met mine online by chance. He was sweet and not aggressive, not that having a bit of a "bad boy" side is a bad thing but throwing it out there right off the bat will not attract anything but a booty call. If you want something that will be real and hopefully last, be honest. He said I had beautiful eyes. Hook, line, sinker. What was I thinking, snickers?? LOL!!
