What is everyone doing/taking for joint pain? My phucking knees, elbows, etc... are killing me lately. I've taken 5 days off from the gym but the pain remains... any suggestions? I'm OD'ing on motrin, tylenol, naprosin, and glucosomine/condroitin/MSM. Any other suggestions? All my lifts are starting to suffer severly... HELP!!!
The answer is not a simple one. Do you have med coverage? If so you really need to identify if this problem is autoimmune. All the motrin in the world won't help if it is. If rest and anti-inflamitories are not working, it's time to take it to the next level.

Hmmmm, multiple joints all at once? Go see someone about it. That is NOT normal. I would say lay off everything that causes pain, you will only cause further damage.. best of luck & let us know how it goes.
Klash is right and load up on every different type of anti-oxidant and phytonutrient you can get your hands on. Thats what i did to heal a destroyed rotator cuff...oh, and load up on fish oil. omega 3 fat
might want 2 have a C-Reative protein test done, which checks for inflammation levels in the blood.
It is the anti-inflammatory effects of fish oil that makes it have such widespread benefit for our health.
Many people r taking fish oil after using or hearing about the disaster of prescription anti-inflammatories such as the COX-2 inhibitors.
I have found MSM to work good for me. But I have also had to stop or at least modify some of my lifts to keep from having to take breaks to heal. The biggest obsticle for me is shoulders. I loved barbell and dumbell shoulder presses. Now I do them seated with a high back on the smith machine to restrict my motion. Dumbbell presses are not even an option any more. Try to adjust as early as you can to forgo the problems it will cause you later in life.

-A New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel Supplement to Support Connective Tissue and Joint Functions*
Perna mussels are rich in amino acids, polypeptides, naturally chelated minerals, numerous enzymes, vitamins, and nucleic acids (RNA and DNA).* They are also an especially rich, natural source of all major classes of glycosaminoglycans, including chondroitin -4 and -6 sulfates.*
-Boswellin
-Curcumin
-Nettle Leaf
-Turmeric Root
-Biosil
I use all of these in combination with flax oil and coconut oil. I dont take the full dose of each one and it still gives good results. You can find products that contain multiple ingredients ie. Now Foods Boswellin and Curcumin with turmeric. Plus most of this quite cheap for a good amount. FoodScience makes a good Sea Mussel product. I get most of this stuff from iherb.com yet you can get Now Foods products at most anywhere. Try it out.
I've had issues with this in the past too, it sucks ass! I take a supp with msm/glucosamine/chondroitin and I ice after heavy workouts. I've also recently started using a foam roller for my hips, IT band and whatever else is givin me probs and it's workin great! Since I got one, my knee pain as gone away, I also do TKE's for knee prehab. For elbows I stretch my arm out on a bench and grab a 35# dumbell and do rotations with it and that's helped a ton as well.

Use of alflutop in the treatment of patients with osteoarthrosis
The efficiency of alflutop was studied in patients with osteoarthrosis (OA) of the knee or hip joints. The examinees (n = 24) received alflutop only intramuscularly (in coxarthrosis) or intramuscularly in combination with the intraarticular injection of the agent (in knee osteoarthrosis). Physical examinations were made in control periods: before and immediately, 3, 6, and 12 months after treatment. Arthrosonography was used as an objective method for controlling the efficacy of the drug. The studies have demonstrated that alflutop substantially relieves pain, improves the function of the diseased joints in patients with OA. Arthrosonography has shown that the drug exerts an antiinflammatory effect, retards the progression of a pathological process in the joint. Alflutop has been found to be more effective in knee OA than in hip OA, which is determined by that its combined use regimen may be used in knee OA. The necessity and high efficiency of repeated courses of alflutop therapy are shown.
The effects generally last from 6 to 9 months before the therapy must be repeated.
The amps are sterile water based and its very good tolerated by your body and no side effects.
Directions for use:
There are two methods for use: intramuscular (IM) & intra-articular (IA). IM injections are the easiest to deal with and allow the compound to absorb throughout your body to all necessary areas.
It has to be injected I.M.(intra muscular) 1 amp every day for 3 weeks (21 days), you can take again them after 2 months. Fore some, with more serious joint problems, a couple of rounds need to be done to bring the joints up to speed. (21 daily IM injections, 1 amp per injection, rotate inject sites)
The last clinical tests found that the amps can be injected 1-2 amps in affected parts of your articulation or damaged ligaments. This has to be done once at every 3 days during 3 weeks. It can be done again after 3 months. (THIS IS FOR ARTICULAR or DIRECT SITE INJECT THERAPY ONLY)
I literally feel like I'm falling apart... my elbows kill when I do any extensions... I can't curl without pain in both my elbows and wrists... my hips feel destroyed - especially because my gait is f-up'd due to a torn ACL in my right leg... I won't even being to mention the pain and arthritis setting in on my knee... it's down right depressing... I can't lift without pain and lifting means a LOT - it's so fundamental to my lifestyle...
