those do look good. They are way up there on the price. I'm sure they're top quality too, but I actually like the ones like are on the R6 on the cover of last month's Super Streetbike. And they're a fraction of the cost.
See, I'm not real big on front blinkers to begin with, so before I throw down over $100 on a set, I'd do without. Show folks how good some decals would look right there other than those watsens, the only others I've seen that I'd put on my bike are the ones by Hotbodies, I think they were, or LP...but they look pretty good as well. I don't like those big-ole jokers they called "flush-mounts" back in the day.
The only reason I'll get front blinkers is if they're bright enough. That's why I got the rears that I did. becuase they're bright as hell. very visible even in the sun. Those Watsensdesigns put out some serious light, don't they?
did you make your license plate kit or did you by it and what brand if you bought it? can you post some up close pictures of it thanks
It's the same one. I got the guy at the bike shop to pull it off my old bike while I was signing papers, so I didn't have to make another one.
I posted some pics of it on here before, remember? Let me know and I'll post whatever angle you need and answer any questions you might have. It's cleaner than the kits really. I just use a 4 1/2" cutting wheel and a little imagination to make it out of the factory tag bracket.
WOW! THat's a sharp looking ride.
Looks like it means some serious business.
I actually sat on one of these when I was chatting with one of the sales guys at a dealership and there is no way I could even get comfortable with that bike for 2 minutes let alone ride it. It's kind of sad the amount of things I can't fit due to my back but such it life.
I love the color too!
It's funny how we can get something brand new with little to miles on it and we instantly start thinking of what we can "do" to it!
I've alreadt found some info about changing the front fender on the ZX14 with a unit from a 10 to allow more air flow and better cooling. And a rear fender eliminator bracket to clean up the tail section - though I don't think I'd pay 50$ for a piece of sheet metal with a couple of slots in it. I can make a nice one ut of aluminum or stainless here at the shop.
In fact there's not much I can't make here at the shop!
Thanks Sal! That new design by Yamaha was my fav. It just has an awesome fighter-jet design that's down right menacing<---quoting an article on it...but it's a good description.
I yanked the rear pegs off the day after that picture was taken, if I remember correctly. And it does look so much better.
damn bro you have such a clean bike. I just ordered pazzo's, flushmounts and a clear alternatives integrated tail along with swing arm sliders. hoping it spices mine up a bit. Up next is a 520 conversion with 1 down 3 up and then full exhaust and a power commander.

1 & 1, as 02 said, will make a big difference. I'm not sure what the stunters use, but you're probably getting close.<--(exaggeration) but really, 3 up is allot. I'm just changing the front sprocket. I need to be putting it on right now, or taking it to be done. I just haven't had time to do shyt much on the weekends, but it'll be on before it hits the track. But back to the point. I understand where you're coming from about that bike's powerband. It's the same with a hundred pound jockey on it. You'll say, "wow" even if you just dropped one in the front. But you know what you want bro. I can't tell you what you'll like. I will say to hold on when it hits. cause at 10grand...jeeze! but a gear change will help out either way. 3 in the back without a catalytic, and that thing will be out the gate. Sounds like you'll have it looking pretty smooth too. Just ditching the blinkers helps a ton.
and thanks bro. I'm lovin it. It's warm outside today. Windy as hell, but I gotta go blow the dust off it.
i think i might actually do 1 up front and 2 in the back. most serious stunters do 1 up front and 15 or so in the back. that's right i said 15 a lot of them run 60 tooth backs.
