It caught my eye the very first time I laid eyes on it. so, it's mine now. I just got it a week or 2 ago, so of coarse, I haven't got to feel it out much, but I can already tell that Yamaha did work that [no low-mid range power] out from the last model while making it more powerful than before as well. Not that I noticed any lack in the power department before, other than below 10grand, which kinda sucked for the street, but it feels like they got it taken care of. They did 50something changes to the engine alone. I'm sure the new added YCC-I fuel injection is mostly responsible for that. They also bumped the compression up a decent bit. You can hear the difference in the engine. It has a different sound, and it should...53 changes to the engine. But I'm very happy with it. It even looks alittle more menacing.

1 more.
That silver grabbed me right off the bat, but it just grew on me more just posting these pics. and the good thing about silver is even when it's somewhat dirty, it looks clean. Those wheels are the same way too. But black looks so good clean.Attached Files

Re: Liquid Silver 2008 R6
appreciate the compliments.
I had some decals made up to cover the front blinker holes on the black CBR that I had, so I just covered those turn signal holes. I need to get some made to match this bike better. and they need to be slightly bigger. These barely cover...which is actually good because there won't be a ring around the holes where the paint has faded if I choose to put some front signals in later.
I just realized that I forgot to take the rear pegs off last weekend. I would have to check again, but I don't think they would save the tail at all on this bike, the way the tail sticks way out on the sides. Plus, like I figured out on the last one; why keep something on that doesn't look good to save a possible miss-hap down the road? That's like keeping plastic on the furniture, or the clear thing over the face of new electronics. and I have 02 and jamescb77 to thank for making me think about that.
