I hope that's the case. I believe a lot of things are going in McCain's favor the apparent success of the serge in Iraq for one. I believe the real problem is that many voters (especially the new ones that are voting because its the cool thing to do and they can't resist the novelty of voting for a black candidate) will take Obama for what he says and not his track record.

Just like McCain said recently, don't take him for what he says, take him for what he does. There's no doubt the man in a good public speaker but once you get past that his record speaks for itself.

I think the "Non-votes" are what scare me the most. I can see why some have liberal views and that's what makes democracy great, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Atleast have an opinion though. I don't want someone running the company that doesn't have the balls to let his opinion be known and then stand behind it.

Obama's advantage is due largely to overwhelming support from African Americans and The Washington Post reported in Monday editions.

OMG lets hope not. But Im afraid so. Most vote strictly off emotion and will know absolutely ZIPPO about either candidate except how they talk and look on TV. Thats a fact.
Yes,, I will be for McCain, but his recent TV commercial featuring Obama and Paris Hilton is hitting an all time LOW...Having him come on and saying "Im John MCcain and I approve of this" is really a bad image thing for him. he comes off looking pretty bad.

Calling violence in Chicago "out of control," Gov. Blagojevich on Wednesday offered to lend state troopers and National Guard helicopters to the city to augment the Chicago Police.

The governor is considering forming an "elite tactical team" to help the Chicago Police fight gang problems, a source said, adding that the unit could later be sent across the state to deal with gang problems at any city's request.

It's fair to say that violent crime in Chicago is out of control. In certain communities in the city of Chicago, it is reaching epidemic proportions," Blagojevich told reporters at a bill-signing ceremony in Chicago.
