The man from his own words had an affinity for his communist professors and stated that Frank Marshall Davis (a card carrying communist) had a decisive influence in his life. China's about as communist as we are the land of the free. Their society has increased economic liberties within the last 20 years and because of this, their economy is improving but you want to give the credit to communism?

I don't need to read his books to have an informed opinion of him. In his own words he had an affinity for communist professors. In his own words, a communist had strong influences on his life. He was a member of a church that taught black theology. He considered the pastor, Jeremiah Wright, as his "spiritual mentor". He speaks with the same style as communist propagandists. His short voting record has earned him the title of the most liberal senator.
Their is enough evidence to provide a good picture of his character and yeah he tries to disregard it all but his explanations contract reason. He doesn't want people to see himself as he really is; which exposes more flawed character traits - he has no integrity and he is deceptive.

You don't think the dems are doing the same thing? Pelosi is the one denying a vote on the domestic drilling - she won't even give it a vote. They've had the congress for two years; what have they done that is so good. Wait, what have they done, period. Yeah Bush sucks but so does congress and I don't think your giving congress enough credit of their own. Our problems are not republican caused problems, its corrupt politicians on both sides.
