I am working for the hospital starting real soon and I will be on the floor constantly with patients and I hear there is really no time to do anything or take breaks and stuff... I will be working from 8:30 till 4:00 so how do I get my meals in during this time??? Note that Ive been getting 7 to 8 meals in a day!!!
BROWN BAG IT AND LEAVE IT IN YOUR LOCKER OR A FRIG

welp how it works is I get there at 7:30 and at 8:30 I head up to the 3rd or 4th floor or whatever and take patients until around 12:30 back to back going from room to room. Then at 12:30 there is a lunch break. After that it is back to taking patients on the hospital floors until 5 or 5:30. The fridge is in the dept. downstairs so I don't really get to go there until lunch. What the heck am I gunna do??? Im used to getting all of my meals in and I donno what to do...maybe carry some whey in my scrubs or something??? I donno yet
I think I would find a spot to tuck some cans of chicken, tuna, salmon and kipper snacks. You might have to do a few more whey protein, but I hate to see you get the major of you meals through protein shakes. Natural foods are so much better.
You should also look into LBA's (Liquid Beef Aminos). On ProMuscle a lot of the members are using and they swear by it. They say it's all they need instead of the protein powder.
According to them 1 g LBA protein is as good as 2 g of protein from powder. I think there is 1 Tbls = 5 g. protein, 32 Tbls / 16oz LBA container. Here's a link to it. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/aap/amino.html

Thanks dixie...i will check on the LBA protein and ya i really wish i could find a way to carry around some chicken or tuna, but where there is a will there's a way!!!
yea i guess its just hard since im following other docs around and getting some on the job training...never really get any alone time..always under supervision so maybe when i get my own patients I can get a few breaks. Also there is a big concern about meeting the productivity level so we try and see as many patients as we possibly can
LIQUID BEEF AMINOS? SOUNDS GREAT. I HAFTA TRY THAT. THANKS DIXIE CHICK...MY ONLY CONCERN IS HOW BAD THE FARTS MUST BE AFTER CHUGGING THAT LIQUIFIED MEAT...SERIOUSLY, I BET THAT IS GONNA BE A DOOZY...LOL...BUT IN A HOSPITAL IT MIGHT BE EASIER TO HIDE CUZ YOU CAN BLAME IT ON THAT STOOL SAMPLE SITTIN THERE
