I thought Mississippi was the arm pit of America. I rememeber getting the lecture on "don't drink the water", but I think it was alright. The largest man made lake in whatever region was on the edge of the MS Delta town I stayed in, and that was the spot for the locals. Other than that lake, it was nothing but man made catfish ponds, and farmland. But if you're into hunting, I've never seen game like that in my life. You couldn't count the deer you'd see everywhere. It was where Ducks Unlimited does their studies and so on. I think they originated there. I saw ducks I never knew existed.
