I used to train at a very small family owned gym. Their son, who called himself a personal trainer but without a license, used to bring his friends there every night to talk with and hit on the women there. One of them hit on my partner one evening. I'll admit, she was a super fine sexy 18 yr. old and she actually fell for him. I was pissed off because she left me hanging while I needed her to spot me. So when she returned, I said loud enough for the entire gym to hear me, "He's only here to pick up on any girl who'd talk to him because he can't get it anywhere else. Have you seen any of them pick up a **** barbell or dumbbell yet, other than to see what it feels like?"

That being said, the boy and his crew politely and embarrassingly strolled out of the gym.

Oh, and yes, since you mentioned sandals, i have to admit we got a few dudes like that at my gym. here's my take on sandals: if you're a dude there is only one way you can get by wearing these, if your name is jesus. if it ain't you're an a$$monkey tree hugger granola eating fruit loop who shouldn't be in my gym anyway. thanks for letting me vent =)

oh saw a kid wearing crocs today doing squats...moron! and another guy walking around talkin to everybody, i was there an hour he didnt lift a weight just chatted. i wanted to tea bag him...twice... but he might of liked it

Lately, I've seen guys doing presses with lifting straps. Yeah, you read right....PRESSES with LIFTING STRAPS.

My guess is that they're too cheap to buy gloves.

there is a couple of kids in my gym who do like 15 sets of bench press 3 times per week. Sometimes they will be on the bench for the entire time that I am there. I really want to say something.

I love reading these posts about idiotic Gym behaviour and etiquite...There are so many good stories!LOL..squatting in crocs...OMG!....theres a lot of shyt that can piss anyone off in most gyms. Lately, my biggetst pet peeve is when Im in the gym and some dude askes me to spot about 8 sets of bench for him...awww...phuck, dude, I am not here to be your fu ckin cadddy...some times someone asks for a bench spot and y9u have to help them lift every fu ckin rep...and they try to get about 10 reps with you helping them pull the fuc kin wieight off his chest on every rep....get a clue...thats one advantage to dumbell bench, you dont need a spotter...anyway, it is a Phuckin comedy some of the shyt you se epeople do in the gym..LOL.

Take it easy on the old. If your not old then you have no clue. I use to wonder why old people moved so slow and carefully. Now I'm old enough to know. So if you see an older person moving heavy weights stay clear cus that is one badass that would never tap out.
Nobody bothers me and I don't have an ipod. They see me workout hard. If a woman talks to me, I say "If you want some of this meet me outside when I'm done.
I see all kinds of crazy stuff but I never say anything unless someone is endangering themselfs or others. Half naked females flexing their stuff right in front of me doesn't brother me. Oh I look alright. Bottom line I don't care what anybody does. I do my thing and get out.

we actually monitor cell phone usage etc if you are just sitting on piece of equipment and on cell phone we will ask you to use the piece or move on! it is one of the things here our members love

If I could go to a gym like I used to go to in Denver where I didnt know ANYONE, I could be the most unfriendly basturd in the place...Yes, I would walk in and say hi to the receptionist, but after that, dont anyone phuckin talk to me!!!...I miss those days...LOL
