IMHO, all of us, me included have been so stressed out about so many things, we are a tad doom and gloomy

I've notice thru-out the last several months, I haven't laughed enough, thus, my posts are not going to be as serious.

We have a great divide, nothing wrong with that, jabbing back and forth, well, i'm pretty much tired of it, I'm now officially in dave's camp, they all suck, end of story. I gotta get back to working my ass off to make my life better.

I had great grandfather who never learned english, from italy, and other aunts and uncles in similar fashion, it is not an easy skill to learn past the age of 15 or so.

In general IMHO, he's making the point with the world more global, doing more worldwide trade, being multi-lingual would be a competitive dollar advantage, and IMHO he's right.

I also think about things logically, if u dvide the world up into 3 things

A. Knowledge and Money
B. Raw Commodities, oil, copper, ore etc.
C. Labor

U find out that, Canada is stoked with commodities, as is south america, we got money and knowledge, and in if we bridge the language barriers we will lead versus follow, and i always prefer being in front, cause i trust me more than the.

Europe has money and knowlege, and Africa has labor and raw commodities.

Russia has raw commodities, some mone, china has labor and a vast need for raw commodities, japanese have money and knowlege.

So, too support 6 billion and growing folks in a better lifestyle, which everyone wants for themselves and kids, alliances will be made, and since we are best at it, might as well make the first step.

And that is the future according too trip, please note it could all change tommommorow with a comet or the da bomb.

wow..i dont know what to make of this post..it sounds like ignorance and arrogance is sometihng to be expected and accepted...if it was anybody but obama makinf this statement it wouldnt be an issue...
americans SHOULD learn spanish..its the second language of our ation whether you like it or not..heres something ive learned in my years in the military..americans think we're the best and smartest at everything when it couldnt be the further from the truth..we call iraqis and mexicans and everybody else stupid but how many americans do you know personally that can speak more than one language..my time in iraq i met more people there that could speak english than couldnt..the same goes for here in italy...people all around the world speak more than one language fluently but why dont we..because we're so high and mighty? no..because our kds can barely pass a standardized test..and when they fail do we try to help them..NO...we make the tests easier so that they can pass so that the schools dont lose their federal funding...we're dumbing down our society and when asked to better ourselves we pitch a fit? get over yourselves..as for me my best friend is a mexican so i try my best to learn his language..he knows how to speak 2..whats that say for me?
