WASHINGTON (AP) — Don't expect to see more of Barack Obama's young daughters on television any time soon.

The Democratic presidential candidate and his wife, Michelle, allowed the syndicated show "Access Hollywood" to interview their daughters, Malia and Sasha, as Malia celebrated her 10th birthday. Segments of the interview began airing this week.

On Wednesday, Obama said he had second thoughts after seeing how much attention the interview had received.

Obama told ABC's "Good Morning America" that things got carried away a bit.

Obama said, in his words, "I don't think it's healthy and it's something we'll be avoiding in the future."

Before the "Access Hollywood" interview, the Obamas had kept Malia and 7-year-old Sasha out of the media spotlight.

wow..okay so i just watched the interview on youtube and all i have to say is...what the hell is the big deal about that? why is he an idiot for doing that? its appealing to family minded voters..but regardless of potential alterior motives..i dont see why hes stupid for it or why it would cause any kind of controversy..

note the part in fuzzy's post where he yells "NOW EVERYONE WILL KNOW WHAT HIS KIDS LOOK LIKE" (dont get the yelling, but thats fuzzy nuts for ya, lol)...i wouldnt think that he'd want to plaster them all over the media, but it's unrealistic to think there image wouldnt be floating around for all to find anyway. the cost of the position.

well the media would get pictures of them anyhow if thats the worry..not to mention if he does in fact win the presidency..he wont be able to hide what his kids look like..lol

AND ONE OF THEM IS SERVING IN IRAQ RIGHT NOW AND HE NEVER TALKS ABOUT THEM. AND WHEN THEY DO BRING HIS CHILDREN UP HE DOESNT SAY ANYTHING TO THE REPORTERS.THATS THE SMART THING.
