If i remember correctly they can only collect so much private campaign financing when they take public financing. So maybe his campaign has picked up.
I think that he is more than capable of bringing in enough money that to use taxpayer money would be unethical.
I don't see why John McCain and republican leadership are mad, you would think they would be happy that we didn't have to use taxpayer money to fund a democrat. Or is it that they are upset because they can't get enough people to support them with volunteer cash?
If you accept public financing you have to agree to limit how much you spend. It's a regulation that comes with it. If you've got a ton of cash, you're better not accepting it because you can spend without limit.
I for one like the idea of him not taking the money.
