    Wear your helmet-Strap it on!!

    I had a good friend who passed away on Thursday. He was doing stunts, fell off his machine, and his helmet, (which wasn't strapped on) flew off before he hit the ground, Which left his head vulnerable. I just want to let as many fellow riders as possible know that if your helmet isn't strapped, on, you may as well not be wearing one. I've ridden a hundred times with my full faced helmet on, but not strapped,(not so much in recent history) and never would have figured it to be just a dangerous as apparently it is. Moral of the story is please not only wear your protective gear, but wear it properly and as designed...

        oh man. That is terrible. I'm sorry to hear that.

        Very good point of your thread too. Why even wear a helmet if it isn't strapped on. You said it right..."if your helmet isn't strapped, you may as well not wear it.' There's no difference. It'll fly off just as easy as tennis-shoes/sneakers...anything that doesn't lace up over the ankle.

        WEAR YOUR GEAR!!! or you might have some pissed off, and/or sad family and friends one day. I'd just be pissed if I lost someone due to the lack of care for themselves and even more, their family and friends. That's like saying, 'fuk you everybody. I don't care about me or your feelings'...The difficult thing is that you can't just not care for someone you love though...even if they don't give 2 shyts if they leave you having to wipe their ass for them for the rest of their life, or even worse, just leave you.

        Please, wear your gear. At least wear you helmet.
