My wife and I also have been there, and as Baby1 said don't stress too much on bad news from the docs because the human body is an amazing creation that can go through alot and still be ok. We are wishing your family the best, hang in there!!

My wife gave birth at only 21 weeks just the other day due to complications. Our baby girl was absolutely perfect. She was beautiful. I can't explain how perfect she was. Unfortunately, the lungs aren't developed enough until around 26-27wks, and they can't give a steroid shot to speed up the developement of the lungs until 24wks. The baby didn't have that kind of time. This life just wasn't meant for her to go thru right now.
We were truly blessed with that baby girl. I got to hold her in her final hour, and she moved me in so many ways. She touched my feelings and soul very deeply in that short time we shared together. She was a miracle to me and my wife, as well as the couple of other people that got to be in her presence. I have a wonderful memory to hold onto forever.
