Well, I got the best b-day present ever! I've been doing these floor plan sketches and the morning of my b-day I met with a Remax office with 300 agents. Since I am taking over the area I tweaked the prices and restructured it to make more sense for the agents. In a nut shell, I will be charging the agents less than before but I personally will be making more money. So, it's a win-win. The dude that owns the floor plan company was blown away by how many of the agents I already knew. He said that's what he is missing in all the areas outside central Illinois where he is. Where he is he has well built relationships so it's easy for him to get a lot of business. Also, the owner of the Remax office is like best firends with the owner of Remax international. Their office in Denver has like 1,200 agents and he said he will get us hooked up in Denver too. So, now I don't have to hold my breathe hoping for appraisal business or compete with some guy that will lie to get the business.
So, for my b-day I got a whole new business opportunity with unlimited potential. Also, the guy who owns the floor plan company told me that I will be the sole guy for Colorado. Any areas I want are strictly mine and any I don't want he will market to find appraisers that want them.
So, needless to say, it was a very good b-day.
