I don't know yet. I haven't researched him enough yet to have a good opinion on him but I have read some things about his history that are not only inconsistent with the Libertarian platform but undermine it, e.g. the drug prohibition. Like I said, though I haven't read enough about him yet and how he came to see the light as a Libertarian or if he actually is one. If he is not one I will not vote for him; we do not need another political party falling into societies short sighted appeal to pragmatism.

I cannot support the Constitutional Party. IMO, they are Theists that are picking and choosing what Libertarian ideals are consistent with certain religious dogma, essentially undermining the whole philosophy. They state they are for individual freedom and the constitution but then take the position of "pro-life"; essentially sacrificing individual freedom of an actual human to the "rights" of a fertilized egg. The party's collapse into an even more pragmatic party like the current day Republicans and Democrats is inevitable because of blatant contradictions in their own positions.

Ron Paul, there is no doubt, understands the philosophy of freedom very well. If Bob Barr turns out to be irrational - I'll probably write in Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is nothing like any of the other modern presidential candidates or presidents. We live in a pragmatic society and from a pragmatic perspective everyone looks the same, with the only variations being that of which demographic is being appealed to and what demographic you associate yourself with but once you see him from a more consistent ideological perspective you will see that he is nothing like the other candidates; his intelligence far exceeds the typical pragmatist polititician, i.e. McCain, Obama, Clinton, etc. He is devoted to a non-contradicting ideology of individual freedom. The others are devoted to appealing to the majority, period; at the cost of sacrificing freedom and ethics.

...but all of us (even our presidents) are raised in a government implemented curriculums that educate children in the contradicting ideology of pragmatism. It's not a conspiracy but a result of a curriculum that compromises here and there until nothing appears to be connected. So we treat our political issues the same way. Ron Paul is not like that, he has a consistent ideological standard that he applies political issues to.

Comparing RP to Mccain is way off, besides some views on economics theyre polar oposites..He would not be like every other person, who else talks about shutting down the fed lol..What do you mean it's not right to bring home our troops from abroad,(?) you dont agree with following the constitution?? The very reason he didnt win the republican nomination is because hes different then everyone else and doesnt conform to what the elite want.

Re: Who are you supporting in the nest election?

He may not win but he can still influence future elections by capturing a good number of votes.

For me, I know a libertarian will not win the presidency this year but it's about showing the politicians there is a demand for liberty. By voting for McCain or Obama the message is please keep phucking with the economy until we have another depression or please enforce a state faith in "global warming".

One of your first posts in here, you said that you had always been republican but that you were probably voting democrat because of Bush and because republicans have always messed up.

Or are you just saying that you switched to democrat now in this post?...it is possible that memory isn't serving me well too...
