    anybody heard of any bugs...

    going around?
    My little girl is feeling bad, running a fever. She woke us up last night around midnight and had just gotten sick, so I was thinking it was maybe a little 24hr stomach virus, but she's feeling really bad today, you can tell. She hasn't moved off the couch and she's never been like that. This is only the forth time she's been sick, but she's had a couple of very bad bugs, with fever, the worst kind of flu symptoms, and still up and playing, so I know she feels bad.

    She has no cold symptoms or anything. She's just running a fever and has that flush, red blood-shot, heavy eyed look. She says her head hurts. If she gets much worse tonight or tomorrow, we'll take her to the doctor. And if her fever doesn't break by Tuesday, same thing. I'm hoping the fever is doing it's job and killing that virus, and we'll wake up feeling all better tomorrow.

        A friend of mine's ex-wife used to run to the hospital at the first sign of fever or cough(with their first child), and then they were always sent home with the good ole instructions that we got last time we took our daughter...'get the proper OTC meds and plenty rest, fluids, and soup.' And I could've swore she had a horrible chest virus that time. She had been coughing violently for a few days and it wasn't seeming to break. I started to get pissed when she wasn't prescribed antibiotics, but as the doctor reminded me, if you take antibiotics for something that your body can fight off on it's own, then when a real bad virus comes along that needs antibiotics to kill it...the antibiotics won't work.

        I got her some children's Motrin a little bit ago and it's definitely working much better than the Tylenol for this. She's up and around, back to her self again. I'm trying to chill her out and explain that she's only wanting to run the 100yard dash because of the meds...but, that's not so easy to get thru to a 3 yr old. But, at least that fever is broke and she's off the couch playing. It's never pleasant to have your baby feeling bad.

            glad she's feeling better bro. when your kids are sick it's awful.
            You may not recognize your mom when you get home, I shaved her back.

                  thanks guys. Her temp was a little lower this morning, but her stomach is still torn up. I think she's on the down side getting better now though.

                  I hope that stomach bug don't get me and mommy.

                    Something is definitely going around. My daughter and I had the same thing and now Fuzo is pretty sick. How is your little girl feeling now?

                      She seems to be much better. Normal temp this morning, back to herself again. Her eyes still have that look a little bit, but she's definitely over it. Her stomach is all better, so all is well.

                      Mommy wasn't feeling tops yesterday afternoon, so we were thinking she might've been coming down with it, but she's tops today.

                      I sure don't want anything to do with a stomach virus. uhg... I can't stand to be sick to my stomach.

                      Take care of your old man there. Hope he gets to feeling better. And glad you and your girl are all better.

                        sorry i missed this bro...i just give my kids a shot of whisky mixed in honey...best medicine around, lol .(glad to hear she's better)
